Door-to-door service throughout Europe – this is how Flyttespesialisten manages Flyttespesialisten in Movex
Flyttespesialisten in Råde provides international door-to-door moving services between Norway, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, the Benelux countries, and Portugal. All inquiries, quotes, orders, and moves are handled in Movex—from the moment the customer fills out a form until the invoice is sent. Movex works just as well for local as it does for international moving companies. Here, we show how Flyttespesialisten the system.
Operations Manager Even Evensen also has a unique history with the system. In 2001, he met Terje Krosshavn, the founder of Movex, and the following year they began building the very first system. Since then, Movex has been rebuilt from the ground up and developed over several generations—and Even has been there every step of the way.

Developed in collaboration with the industry
It was Even who, as early as 2001, asked Terje Krosshavn if it was possible to create a system for the moving industry. In January 2002, they began building it together.
“Itwas Even who asked if I could build a system for the moving company he was working at at the time. So version 1.0 came about with his help and ideas.”
During the first two years, a local desktop version was developed, which Even used on a daily basis. In 2004, the first web-based version of Movex was launched—unusually early for the industry. Since then, the dialogue has never stopped. Even was involved when the new generation was launched in the 2010s and still uses the system daily at Flyttespesialisten.
Three channels in — a quote in minutes
Flyttespesialisten customer inquiries from three sources, all of which are automatically imported into Movex: its own website, Flytting.no & Flytteforbund.no (via the Norwegian Moving Association), and Flytte.no. No manual data entry is required. Names, addresses, dates, and all other information needed to provide a quote are available in the system immediately.
From there, a digital quote is sent using predefined templates and price lines. The customer receives it via email and text message, can provide feedback and accept it digitally—and Movex shows whether the quote has been opened, providing a clear signal for follow-up.
Different price lists make it easy to distinguish between residential and business customers without any extra effort.
“It’seasy to plan assignments, and we make efficient use of both our fleet and our staff.”
From quote to fully planned European tour
Once the customer accepts, the quote is converted into an order with the click of a button. All the details are included—addresses, weight, volume, date, and price.
The next step makes Movex particularly valuable for international operators. The consolidation module coordinates multiple customers’ shipments on the same European route. Each individual shipment, with its weight and volume, is clearly planned, and resources—vehicles, trailers, personnel, and equipment—are allocated directly within the shipment plan.
The office in Råde and the team out on the road see the same information. This reduces misunderstandings and duplication of effort.
“WithoutMovex, we would be much less efficient and more prone to making mistakes. Movex makes our day-to-day work both safer and more efficient.”
The next ten years
Even has watched Movex grow from an idea into a fully-fledged system that supports international moving operations. He has been there through v1.0, v2.0, and everything in between. Looking ahead, the answer is simple: he wants to stay with Movex for at least another ten years.
That says something important. Movex isn’t a ready-made package that’s sold and delivered—it’s shaped through dialogue with its users, year after year.
