June Express relocation processes with Movex
When order volumes increased and information was scattered across Excel files, calendars, and binders, June Express saw June Express opportunity to streamline operations and consolidate all processes into a single system. With Movex, site manager Kenneth Egelrud and his colleagues now have a seamless workflow from quote to invoice – and the stable platform made the acquisitions of Allflytt in Jönköping and Värnamo Flyttningsbyrå significantly smoother.
“With total sales of approximately SEK 40 million and 25 employees in three different companies, Movex helps us to coordinate our work processes and streamline our work every day,” says Kenneth Egelrud.
About June Express
June Express is a family business founded in 1965 and run by brothers Lars and Leif Lundahl. The company has been in the family since the late 1970s. With quality and care as its watchwords, the company always wants its customers to feel secure when they hire June Express. The company has grown through the acquisitions of Allflytt i Jönköping AB and Värnamo Flyttningsbyrå AB, but still retains the same family culture – reinforced by a common approach thanks to Movex.
The challenge
Until 2020, June Express worked June Express a combination of simple calendar systems, Excel, and paper binders. Duplication of work and a lack of overview created unnecessary administration in the form of numerous phone calls and paperwork between departments.
"Before Movex, we had a few different ways of planning. It involved a lot of phone calls and searching through papers before we knew where there was free capacity," Kenneth recalls.
The solution
June Express Movex to get a complete, cloud-based system tailored to the moving industry. Kenneth highlights the following in particular:
Visual planning – color-coded calendar that provides a quick overview of occupancy and resources.
The Fortnox connection – employees, customers, items, etc. are synchronized from Fortnox to Movex, eliminating duplication of work. In the other direction, orders are sent from Movex to completed invoices in Fortnox.
Magazine module – visual overview of available capacity and faster administration
Reusable quotes and orders – standard texts and copy functions save time for returning customers.
Rapid onboarding of new companies – new custody accounts were up and running in Movex within 1-2 months
All processes gathered in one place – no more duplication of work
With Movex, June Express has June Express separate calendars, Excel spreadsheets, paper files, and local files with a shared, cloud-based workflow. Order information follows the customer all the way—from quotation to work order, planning, and invoice—without having to be re-entered.
"We save hours every week just by avoiding double registration and hunting for information between systems," Kenneth emphasizes.
The unified flow also makes it easy to bring in new staff or integrate acquired companies—they simply log in and work in the same view as the rest of the team.
Storage – full control and higher utilization rate
June Express two separate warehouses that were previously managed in Excel and on paper. In Movex, Kenneth and his colleagues now have a visual warehouse map where each space is color-coded according to status—booked, available, or soon available. The system automatically creates invoice documentation based on the period of the storage order and indicates when a contract is about to expire.
"We now have a better overview of when our storage space is approaching its expiry date and becoming available – this means we can book more storage orders," says Kenneth.
The result is fewer gaps in the warehouse and a clear overview that all staff can share, even remotely.
Storage is an important part of June's business, and they use everything from containers and warehouses to boxes.
Offer management – efficient flow is crucial
With Movex, Kenneth can respond to a customer inquiry with just a few keystrokes by using pre-filled quote templates and ready-made text blocks that they have created themselves. In addition to the importance of responding quickly, this ensures consistent communication and a professional image to the customer.
"We have 10–15 standard texts. Instead of writing the same thing every time, we just click on our favorite," he says.
Fortnox connection – invoicing with one click
Movex creates ready-made invoices in Fortnox based on the order created. Items, prices, and customer details are automatically included, so Kenneth and his colleagues only need to review and send the invoice. The close connection saves time, minimizes errors, and provides the finance department with up-to-date accounting in real time.
"The Fortnox connection definitely saves time—we don't have to enter the same figures twice," says Kenneth.
Order board & planning – the heart of the business
The Movex order board is essentially an advanced weekly calendar adapted for moving operations. Kenneth and his colleagues use it to plan vehicles, personnel, and assignments across several depots. Thanks to cloud access, planning for Värnamo is handled from the office in Jönköping.
Color filters show immediately whether capacity is available.
Everyone sees the same updated board in real time, which has reduced internal phone calls.
Thanks to the overview of quotes and planned assignments in the calendar, you can optimize and take on more assignments where there is capacity.
"The fact that everyone within the company shares the same view and can see all planned assignments and resources saves us a lot of coordination work," says Kenneth.
A common system and working method for all employees makes everyday life easier.
The results of using Movex according to Kenneth
Time savings: "We save hours every week just by not having to double-enter data," says Kenneth.
Better business decisions: Visual views enable the team to schedule more jobs and utilize resources to their full potential.
Uniform working methods: All employees now work in the same system, regardless of location.
Scalability: A systematic approach and integration with Fortnox enables June Express grow its turnover without increasing administration at the same rate.
Looking ahead
June Express using Movex since 2020 and has integrated it strongly into its daily work and work processes. However, Kenneth says that there are parts of Movex that are not yet being fully utilized, and that efforts to streamline operations are ongoing.
“We want a system that continues to grow with us. Movex listens and develops according to the needs of the moving industry—we appreciate that,” concludes Kenneth.
