The New Movex: What We're Building and What It Means for You

Movex has been around for over 20 years. Today, more than 40 moving companies run their operations in Eureka Movex, with over 1,500 active users and more than 400,000 completed moving jobs. Now we’re taking the next big step. Starting in late 2025, we’ll be building the next generation of the system from the ground up: the new Movex. It’s faster, fully functional on mobile devices, and can be integrated with the other systems you use. The foundation has been laid, and the plan is for the first companies to run their entire moving operations on New Movex during the first quarter of 2027. For those of you currently using Eureka Movex, nothing will change for now. We’ll provide support as usual, and we’ll plan the transition together with you.

Why We're Building New

Eureka Movex gets the job done today and will continue to do so. But the foundation dates back to a different era. Back then, the work wasn’t done on a mobile device. No one anticipated that the system would need to integrate with the website, the financial system, and the sites where requests come in. And AI didn’t exist. On an outdated foundation, every new feature takes longer to build. As a business grows, it also notices that the pages slow down as the number of orders and users increases.

We chose to build a new system rather than expand the existing one. The new Movex should be fast even with a large volume of orders and a large staff, and work just as well on mobile devices as it does in the office. Other systems should be able to integrate with it, and it should last for many years. Just like today, you’ll log in through your web browser, without having to install anything. Our goal is to be the go-to system for moving companies in Sweden and Norway, and eventually in more countries across Europe. We’re starting with those of you who use Movex today.

“Movexhas been around for over 20 years, and our goal is to ensure that it will be around for at least another 20 years.”
— Pär Hartung, CEO of Movex

This is what we're building

Here's how the new Movex will work once it's ready.

Fast, even as you grow. The pages load quickly even with a large number of orders, many employees, and multiple departments or companies in the same system.

Drag-and-drop scheduling. You schedule by dragging assignments, staff, and vehicles to their destinations.

The entire system on your phone. All pages work on your phone, so you can plan, place orders, and respond to customers even when you're not in the office.

New field app. Movers can download it from the App Store or Google Play. The assignment, time report, and customer signature are all available in the same app. It replaces Movex Express when you make the transition.

More support for sales. All inquiries are collected in one place, making them easier to follow up on. You’ll have more ready-made quote templates to choose from, and you can set reminders for quotes that haven’t been answered. If you have multiple companies, each company will have its own templates.

Financial tracking. You track finances by quote, order, and project so you can see which projects are profitable and which are not.

Subcontractors in the same system. You assign tasks to subcontractors directly in Movex and can track their progress there.

Better support for cleaning and installation services. Moving is—and will always be—our main focus, but the new Movex will also be an improvement for those of you who provide cleaning and installation services, such as weekly cleaning.

Open system. The new Movex will feature an open interface for other programs—an API. Your website, your accounting system, and other programs will then be able to retrieve and send information to Movex without anyone having to enter it manually.

AI that saves time. The new Movex makes it possible to integrate AI. Here’s an example of what that can mean: when a request comes in, Movex generates a quote proposal based on your previous quotes for similar projects. You review the proposal and send it out.

Warehousing in the same system. “ Movex Lager ” is the first component of the new Movex and has been in operation at the moving and logistics company Movator since December 2025. It can already be used as a standalone system and will serve as the warehousing component of the new Movex. Here’s how it works Movex Lager

This is how far we've come

Movex Lager was built first and has been in daily operation since December 2025. Two developers and a product manager are working on the rest of the new Movex. The login and user systems, customer database, and invoicing are complete, as is the foundation on which the rest of the system rests. For the remainder of 2026, we’ll be building the core functions of a moving company’s day-to-day operations: inquiries, quotes, orders, assignments, and scheduling. The plan is for the first few companies to run their entire moving operations on the new Movex platform during the first quarter of 2027.

Requests in the prototype of the new Movex. The menu on the left shows the parts we're building. "Inventory" is already up and running, and "Quote" is next in line.

What this means for those of you who use Eureka Movex today

Nothing will change for you at this time. Eureka Movex is the migration system that all customers are using today, including new customers. We’ll provide support as usual and continue to develop it until you’ve completed the migration. The transition to the new Movex will take place in stages, one company at a time. We’ll contact you well in advance of your turn and plan the transition together with you.

What you tell us now affects what we build. Is there anything in Eureka Movex that you wish worked differently? Write to support@movex.se, and we can get it right from the start.

“Wewant a system that continues to grow with us. Movex listens and adapts to the needs of the moving industry—we appreciate that.”
— Kenneth Egelrud, site manager at June Express

Start with the quotes first

You don’t have to wait for the entire new Movex to be ready, and you don’t have to switch everything over all at once. You can start handling quotes and inquiries even before the year is over. You’ll receive requests, send quotes, and follow up on them in the new Movex, using custom templates for each company. When the customer accepts, the order is automatically created in Eureka Movex, including the customer, addresses, and the details of your quote. Planning, assignments, and invoicing will continue as usual in Eureka Movex. So, for now, you’ll create quotes in the new Movex and handle the rest in Eureka Movex.

We’re bringing in a few companies at a time. You’ll use the quotes in your day-to-day work and let us know what works and what’s missing. Would you like to be part of this from the start? Email Pär at par@movex.se, and we’ll tell you more and let you know when it’s your turn. A separate post about quotes and requests will be added to the knowledge base, and we’ll email you when it’s published.
