About Gefleborgs Flyttservice
Gefleborgs Flyttservice is a family-owned company founded in 2008 by Henrik Wigren in Gävle. With service, quality, and security as its watchwords, it is now the county's only SMF moving company and runs all its trucks on fossil-free HVO diesel, which is replaced before they reach five years of age. The company has grown to around 40 employees who help private and corporate customers throughout central Sweden – now reinforced with a common digital approach in Movex. The challenge
Until 2021, order management at Gefleborgs Flyttservice was handled Gefleborgs Flyttservice paper orders. For each customer assignment, a manual paper order was created, which was usually printed out and distributed to the right person. Planning and work distribution were carried out on a whiteboard where the day's assignments and work teams were noted. If any changes needed to be made to an order, it was necessary to locate the printed order, make a new printout, and notify everyone involved, which often meant many phone calls between the office and the drivers. Some parts of the business, such as planning and transport management, were digitized a few years before 2021 thanks to an internal information app, but order management remained analog until that year.

Previously, it was easy to lose track of loaned moving boxes among handwritten lists and verbal confirmations. "We almost had to call old customers and ask if they had any boxes left," says Niclas Pettersson. There was no centralized system for seeing who had borrowed what and how long the boxes had been out.

An individual box order is created for each customer, where the number, balance, and return date are registered digitally. This means that Niclas and his colleagues can immediately see on the screen how many boxes each customer has, what has been loaned out, and what is expected to be returned—all gathered in a clickable list.
